Buildcorp Induction Camp Wrap-Up: Day 3

RUPA

Day 3 of the Buildcorp Induction Camp at the Holiday Inn, Potts Point, offered a dynamic blend of personal reflection, integrity as an athlete, skill development, and actionable goal-setting.

MTQ Plus Assessment - Results

The first session focused on utilizing Skills for Life data from the MTQPlus assessment on day 1. This gave players a comprehensive outline of how to leverage their unique strengths effectively and build mental skills for life.

Personal Integrity and Obligations

This was followed by a thought-provoking discussion on Personal Integrity and Obligations as an athlete, led by Rugby AU Head of Integrity, Amy Thorp, and Legal Counsel, Community & Integrity, Danielle Hodgson, which underscored the importance of maintaining values within personal and professional environments. Players role-played situations where their integrity could be tested, and developed safe and well-thought responses.

Goal Setting & Collaboration

Attendees then engaged in a WOOP (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan) exercise, crafting actionable 4-week goals to focus on until Christmas. This session transitioned seamlessly into a discussion on goal enabling, emphasizing the importance of support systems. Players explored how gratitude and generosity, anchored in personal strengths and values, can not only drive individual success but also inspire others to achieve their aspirations.
